New Projects

In my last post I stated that TK (my husband) purchased a Cricut for me.  Over the past couple of months I have been learning how to use it and create new cards.  I have had a blast so far and can't wait to learn more.
One of my first cards was a for TK's cousin's Eagle Scout award.  I forgot to take a picture of it, but thought it turned out pretty good for using the Cricut for the first time.  The next card I made I was experimenting with the lettering and seizing; which I am still trying to figure out.  The picture below was a card for my cousin who just finished his first semester at college.

The next project that I worked on was one of TK's birthday gifts.  It did not really turn out, but he still liked it because it was baseball related.

Project number three...I started to work on some thank you cards. The cartridges I mainly used were "Wild Card" and "Storybook." I used the Cricut and the Cuttlebug.

Project number four...It is now time for mother’s day.  I created two cards and a note pad. I am unsure what type of paper I used, but thought they would both be great for mother’s day.  With the 1st card I used a new tool that creates straight edge holes; there are other attachments that create a variety of lines/holes). Once you have made the holes, you are able to use cross-stitch yarn for added embellishment.  The 2nd card, I just used a saying from the "Wild Card" cartridge. The note pad was purchased at Craft Direct and I just added the paper and the saying.

Project number five...two of my co-workers recently lost their beloved animals; I decided to make them thinking of you card.  As usual I used the "Wild Card" cartridge to create these wonderful cards.

Project number six...I made a card for my dad as a thinking of you card, but I might just give to him as a father’s day card.  I used the "Just Because" cartridge, it created the card, the phrase and the car.

Project number seven...I completed a graduation card for TK's cousin. I used the "Wild Card" cartridge which created the card, phrase, tassel and the envelope.

I hope you all enjoyed this collage of cards that I created over the past couple of months.

1st blog

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on my blog and learning how to create one. With my blog it is my hope to bounce off craft ideas, show off some projects that I am creating and also about my life in general.

I love to craft and just recently my wonderful husband TK bought me the Cricut and I LOVE IT!!! It is one amazing tool; I had no idea what a great tool it is. The Cricut is one of my favorite tools to use next to the Cuttlebug.  Now that I have more tools, I am creating projects for myself, trying new things and get my creative juices working. I will be posting some photos of some projects that I am working on.

Some other things that I am interested in is traveling, TK and I have been to CA three times, have sailed on Carnival Victory-Southern Caribbean twice, the other interest I have is attending MN Twins Baseball games. I don't know what summer would be like if we did not have baseball.  Since we love them so much, we have recently started to attend an away Twins game each summer. We have been to the Chicago, St. Louis and Detroit; this year we will be going to Kansas City; our goal is to see every baseball stadium in the US.

I do have some projects I am currently working on, I will be posting pics soon. Good Night Everyone!!
